Woven baby wrap tutorials
Want to know how to use a woven baby wrap? Here you will find the main front, hip and back carries, explained step by step to help you use your wrap correctly as your child grows.
Front carry
The front carry can be used from birth, following the minimum weight and product instructions. Your baby faces the wearer in a tummy-to-tummy position.
Here are three front carries with a woven wrap:
Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC)
Our basic carry for front carrying, heart to heart.
Front Cross Carry (FCC)
A pre-tied carry that lets you put your baby in and take them out without retying the wrap each time.
Kangaroo Carry (KC)
A close, supportive front carry that can also be used with smaller newborns.
Hip carry
Generally from around 3 months, once your baby has good head control, hip carrying lets them see more of their surroundings while staying close to the wearer.
Here is how to use a woven wrap on the hip:
Robin’s Hip Carry (RHC)
A pre-tied carry that lets you put your baby in and take them out without undoing the wrap each time.
Back carry
Generally suitable from around 6 months, once your baby has good trunk control and can sit. Back carrying can be especially comfortable as your child grows and gets heavier.
Here are two back carries with a woven wrap:
Rucksack Carry (RC)
One of the most simple and essential back carries.
Double Hammock (DH)
A carry with extra support, especially useful as your child grows.
